Facial Augmentation
Enhancements to the lips, chin, or cheeks have been
growing in popularity over the last three decades.
Implants are used to camouflage signs of aging, but are
also used to alter a persons natural facial features.
With the current state of the technology, implants or
fillers can be temporary or permanent solutions for
facial enhancement.
The Best fillers for finelines and wrinkles is Hyaluronic acid (HA). Actually HA comprises 40% of your skin routinely, so adding more is never a problem. The beauty of HA is that it is easily injected, feels smooth and last for anywhere from 6 to 12 months. The two best types are Juvederm and Restylane.
For deeper folds and volume replacement, Radiesse and Fat injections are ideal. Although Radiesse is used often, it is costly for a limited amount of fill ($1200/1cc). In contrast, fat injections come from your own body, so there is no chance of adverse response, rejection or allergy. The other beauty of fat is that most of us, have plenty to go around so adding 2-20 cc’s is easy and cost effective. Finally, the durability of fat has been in question for quite a long time, but even if it last only 6 months, it is still a better filler for these purposes than the alternatives. But with newer technology, fat injections and their durability is on the rise. I have patented new technology that will revolutionize fat injections forever.
